When I Say “My Baby”
I wish in English
there was some sort of
maybe reflexive way
to say, “my baby,”
because when I say “my baby”—
when I look at her and call her “my baby”—
(which is to say, many times a day)
I do not mean to say
so much
that she is mine,
but to tell her
that I am hers,
completely.
