Timeline

11/18/25

• 9:00am - bloody show (lightly all day)
• 7:40pm - pieces of mucus plug

11/19/25

• 1:00-1:30am - contractions every 10 minutes
• 1:30am - irregular contractions start
• 2:45-4:45am - slept on couch (not well), irregular contractions in my sleep
• 5:00am - big piece of mucus plug
• 6:00am - contractions are coming regularly again; I tell Joseph we’re probably having a baby today
• 6:30am - Rosebud wakes up; I get her and make her eggs
• 6:50am - I call my mom and tell her we will likely need to go into L&D while she’s here
• 8:05am - my mom arrives; we call MIL to plan with her too
• 8:30am - we hug Rosebud tight and leave for the hospital; contractions have been 3 minutes apart for about half an hour
• 8:45am - we park at Metro and walk up to L&D
• 9:00am - check into triage; I’m 3cm dilated
• 10:20am - arrive in delivery room
• 10:20am-1:00pm - contractions ramp up
• 1:00pm - they break my water; baby’s head is so low it’s acting like a plug and not much comes out
• 1:00-1:40pm - contractions intensify and I go from 5 to 10cm dilated FAST; I throw up; it’s time for me to push; I am scared

1:54pm - I finally get the guts to push 100% and she arrives!

• 1:54-4:00pm - skin to skin with Minnow
• 4:00-5:30pm - tests and checkup for the baby; vitamin k shot & eye ointment too; I take a glorious shower while Joseph holds Minnow
• 5:30pm - we arrive in our recovery room
• Recovery Room - food service, feeding Minnow every 3 hours (really bad contractions when latched); visits from a million nurses, doctors, staff; attempts at sleep; hospital tv

11/20/25

• 2:00pm - Minnow passes her 24-hour health tests
• 3:30pm - we get approved to go home
• 4:45pm - we finally head out of L&D
• 5:30pm - arrive home!
